What the research shows

Training breaks you down; recovery builds you back stronger. A review of 16 studies and nearly 1.4 million people found habitually short sleep was linked to a 12% higher risk of death (Cappuccio et al., 2010).

In a small controlled experiment, six nights of restricted sleep worsened blood sugar control and raised evening stress hormones in healthy young adults (Spiegel et al., 1999).

How we coach it

Recovery days built into the program.

A consistent sleep and wake schedule.

Smart timing for light, caffeine and late workouts.

From the longest-lived

Long-lived communities build daily rituals to downshift: rest, quiet time and time with people they love.

What we'll help you track

Your average nightly sleep.
